Daphne City Council approves smoking ban

On Monday, the Daphne City Council approved an ordinance which bans smoking in all Daphne restaurants. The smoking ordinance bans smoking in all Daphne restaurants. It does allow for smoking in bars, private clubs, tobacco shops and in designated smoking rooms in hotels. A hotel can allow smoking in up to 30 percent of its rooms.

The Mobile Alabama Metro Area was listed in the Forbes.com “America’s Fastest-Growing Metros” article. Additonal references to the ThyssenKrupp $3.7 billion steel plant and Moody’s Economy.com forecast of the Mobile fastest growing metro area in the nation between 2007-2012.
